THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Strong experience in payroll processing for multi-state or multinational organizations; familiarity with US payroll laws and perhaps global payroll regulations.
- Proficiency with payroll/HRIS systems: Workday, payroll tax compliance, deductions, benefits, and reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage deadlines and resolve discrepancies.
- Good communication skills: able to translate payroll data, explain issues to non-technical partners, collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to adapt to change (audits, process changes, regulation updates) and to implement improvements.
- Education in accounting, finance, HR, or a related field; payroll certification (CPP, PTP, or equivalent) is a plus.
