THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

  • A rapidly growing North Carolina municipality committed to elevating citizen experience through digital modernization and community engagement.

  • A forward-thinking Finance and IT group leading a cross-departmental initiative to redesign the Town's website and digital presence.

  • An engaged and collaborative team including stakeholders from Communications, HR, and Administration, all invested in project success.

  • A town that values thoughtful infrastructure, transparency, and proactive service delivery.

  • Longtime AccruePartners client with a track record of successful consultant engagements across Planning, IT, and Executive functions.

LOCATION

  • Mooresville, NC – Hybrid work environment with part-time onsite presence for stakeholder engagement and project execution.

WHAT THEY OFFER YOU

  • A high-visibility project tied to citizen feedback, community priorities, and digital transformation objectives.

  • A critical role shaping how the Town communicates, serves, and engages with residents through an improved web presence.

  • The opportunity to work cross-functionally with multiple departments and external partners in a fast-moving, solutions-oriented environment.

  • Flexibility to lead both technical and operational aspects of the website overhaul and advise on broader project management improvements.

  • A strong public-sector mission focused on making tangible, lasting impacts for local citizens.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • The current website is outdated and misaligned with resident expectations for navigation, functionality, and digital services.

  • This role will drive vendor collaboration, timeline execution, and cross-departmental coordination to deliver a refreshed, user-centered site.

  • Reporting directly to senior leadership, this consultant will manage deliverables, align internal teams, and ensure the implementation meets both technical and community needs.

  • The website redesign is part of a broader effort to create a citizen experience and engagement department, with this consultant helping shape foundational improvements.

  • Success in this role may open doors to continued project management support across future town initiatives.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Strong experience in website redesign, digital transformation, or web application implementation projects, preferably in a public-sector or client-facing capacity.

  • A hybrid skillset: confident in project management, stakeholder coordination, vendor oversight, and technically fluent in web technologies (specific languages not required).

  • Ability to translate business and community needs into technical requirements and manage project timelines from kickoff to go-live.

  • Previous experience gathering requirements, facilitating cross-functional workshops, and working in matrixed environments.
  • Local to the Charlotte metro area with the ability to be onsite in Mooresville periodically to lead in-person meetings and team updates.
