Location:
  • Hybrid - 4 days in office in Charlotte, NC
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead legal and compliance functions, including governance, regulatory adherence, and contract oversight, while managing internal and external legal resources.
  • Direct risk management strategies to protect the company’s assets and reputation, including insurance oversight and vendor coordination.
  • Oversee employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with labor laws, supporting HR on policy enforcement, and managing employment-related disputes.
  • Manage legal strategy for customer claims and litigation, developing preventative measures and coordinating with outside counsel as needed.
  • Drive M&A transactions, leading legal due diligence, deal structuring, and post-acquisition integration in collaboration with executive and private equity teams.
 
Background That Fits:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active bar membership and 10+ years of legal experience, including at least 5 in a senior role.
  • Proven expertise in employment law, labor relations, and HR compliance, ideally in a PE-backed or growth-oriented company.
  • Demonstrated success in managing litigation, including customer-facing claims, with a focus on risk mitigation and dispute resolution.
  • Strong experience in M&A, contract negotiation, and vendor agreements, including legal structuring and integration planning.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
