Why This Role Is Important
  • Shape financial strategy and align goals with business objectives
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and modeling; provide actionable insights to drive profitability, cash flow, and decision-making.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team (currently three members), fostering accountability and growth.
  • Partner with operations and product teams to optimize cost of goods, vendor terms, inventory controls, logistics/freight spend, and more.
  • Champion tools and systems to streamline finance and operations while strengthening internal controls.
  • Lead or support monthly close and management reviews; ensure timely and accurate company-wide reporting.
  • Support key initiatives such as new business development, M&A evaluation, and market analysis.

The Background That Fits
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role, within manufacturing or industrial businesses.
  • Strong expertise in cost accounting, performance metrics, and capital investment analysis.
  • Demonstrated success improving financial performance through strategic insight and cross-functional leadership.
  • Expertise scaling systems and processes; proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics BC365, Power BI and related tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
