THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

  • A fast-growing, service-focused organization supporting large-scale customer programs across electronic security, voice/radio, and data/networking communications.
  • A business investing in a newly centralized, cross-divisional program management function designed to bring stronger structure, governance, and execution across strategic customer accounts.
  • A leadership team that values hands-on execution, strong relationships, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence across teams without relying on direct authority.
  • An environment where this role will help establish the foundation for a broader program management office as the function matures over the next several years.
  • A company supporting major national customer accounts with complex, multi-site project work and meaningful visibility across operations, customers, contractors, and internal leadership.

LOCATION

  • Based in the Columbia, SC area with onsite presence required. Travel to customer sites and project locations should be expected as needed.

WHAT THEY OFFER YOU

  • The chance to step into a newly created role where you can help build process, structure, tools, and frameworks rather than simply inherit an established playbook.
  • High visibility supporting large, strategic customer accounts with significant operational complexity and national scale.
  • A hands-on leadership environment where program management is tied directly to execution, delivery, customer satisfaction, and business outcomes.
  • The opportunity to partner closely with customers, general contractors, subcontractors, internal operations, sales leadership, and executive stakeholders.
  • A role built for someone who enjoys both strategic oversight and practical field-level involvement, not someone looking for a documentation-only PMO seat.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • This individual will oversee large-scale strategic programs and ensure successful delivery across multiple projects, stakeholders, timelines, and customer expectations.
  • The role will serve as a key liaison between customers, general contractors, internal teams, and leadership, helping keep complex programs aligned and moving forward.
  • This person will be responsible for program performance, financial oversight, risk management, issue resolution, resource coordination, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • They will help establish repeatable program management frameworks, SOPs, reporting structures, and operational best practices across a growing function.
  • Success in this role will directly impact customer satisfaction, program profitability, delivery execution, and the long-term maturity of the company’s program management capability.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Proven experience leading large, complex programs or strategic customer accounts within security, construction, low-voltage, service management, communications, or adjacent field-based industries.
  • Strong experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, customer stakeholders, and internal operational teams across multi-site or large-scale project environments.
  • Ability to manage program-level scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, dependencies, reporting, forecasting, and financial oversight.
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder with the emotional intelligence, business acumen, and presence to influence across customers, field teams, leadership, and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience building or improving program management processes, SOPs, governance models, reporting structures, and best practices in a fast-moving environment.
  • PMP, PgMP, CSPM, PSP, or similar certifications are highly preferred, though demonstrated program leadership and delivery experience are most important.
