The Team You Will Be Joining
  • Join a large, highly established utilities organization supporting critical infrastructure and power generation operations.
  • Work alongside experienced Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Legal, and project stakeholders.
  • Become part of a sophisticated strategic sourcing organization responsible for high-value services, equipment, and supplier relationships.
  • Work within a collaborative environment where sourcing professionals have direct exposure to business leaders, suppliers, and operational teams.

Why This Role Is Important
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives specifically focused on labor and onsite services supporting critical operations and projects.
  • Develop sourcing strategies by evaluating internal requirements, supplier markets, cost drivers, risk, and available sources of supply.
  • Lead RFQ/RFP processes, analyze supplier proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and recommend contract awards.
  • Negotiate complex, high-value agreements while identifying opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance, and process efficiencies.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and post-award activities including amendments, change orders, pricing changes, claims, disputes, and purchase orders.
  • Support project managers with sourcing initiatives tied to plant operations, outages, capital projects, and other major business needs.
  • Serve as a sourcing subject-matter expert who can independently identify issues, develop solutions, and drive projects forward.
 
The Background That Fits
  • Bachelor’s degree with approximately 5–10 years of Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or related experience.
  • Strong hands-on sourcing experience, particularly managing complex labor, onsite services, or service-based categories.
  • Proven experience leading competitive sourcing events and negotiating complex, high-value contracts and agreements.
  • EPC, utility, power generation, industrial, construction, or major capital project sourcing experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience sourcing labor/services for plant operations, outages, construction projects, or other operationally intensive environments is especially valuable.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate supplier proposals, pricing, cost structures, and contractual risk.
  • Independent, detail-oriented professional with strong negotiation, relationship management, analytical, and stakeholder management skills; experience with e-sourcing/ERP platforms is a plus.
