THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

  • Fast-growing, national organization operating in the communications, data, and security space
  • Newly centralized, cross-divisional program management function built to bring stronger structure, governance, and execution across strategic customer accounts
  • Leadership team that values hands-on execution, strong relationships, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence without relying on direct authority
  • Environment where this role will help establish the foundation for a broader program management office as the function matures over the next several years
  • Company supporting major national customer accounts with complex construction, security, low-voltage, and multi-site project work

LOCATION

  • Columbia, South Carolina, with significant onsite presence required at the customer job site, especially during the first year as the manufacturing facility program ramps up

WHAT THEY OFFER YOU

  • Opportunity to step into a newly created role where you can help build process, structure, tools, and frameworks from the ground up
  • High visibility supporting a major strategic customer account tied to a large-scale manufacturing facility buildout and future national expansion
  • Hands-on leadership environment where program management is tied directly to field execution, customer satisfaction, delivery timelines, and business outcomes
  • Ability to partner closely with customers, general contractors, electrical contractors, subcontractors, internal operations, sales leadership, and executive stakeholders
  • Role built for someone who enjoys being close to the work, understands construction project complexity, and can balance strategic oversight with practical job-site leadership

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • Oversee a major strategic customer program made up of multiple individual projects operating under one broader program structure
  • Provide critical onsite oversight in Columbia as the customer’s manufacturing facility gets off the ground
  • Serve as the key liaison between the customer, general contractors, electrical contractors, subcontractors, internal field teams, sales leadership, and executive stakeholders
  • Manage program performance, financial oversight, schedule coordination, issue resolution, risk management, resource planning, reporting, forecasting, and stakeholder communication
  • Help establish repeatable program management frameworks, SOPs, reporting structures, governance models, and operational best practices in an environment that is still early in its program management maturity
  • Directly impact customer satisfaction, program profitability, delivery execution, job-site coordination, and the long-term maturity of the company’s program management capability

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Proven experience leading large, complex construction-related programs or strategic customer accounts within security, low-voltage, electrical, construction, manufacturing facilities, B2B field services, or adjacent field-based industries
  • Strong understanding of construction project management, including experience working with general contractors, electrical contractors, subcontractors, customer stakeholders, and internal operational teams
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects within a larger program structure, ideally in environments involving new construction, facility buildouts, multi-phase delivery, or large-scale customer programs
  • Ability to manage program-level scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, dependencies, resource coordination, reporting, forecasting, and financial oversight
  • Strong onsite leadership presence with the ability to be the eyes and ears on the ground, anticipate issues, coordinate moving pieces, and keep the broader program aligned
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder with the emotional intelligence, business acumen, and presence to influence across customers, contractors, field teams, leadership, and cross-functional partners
  • Experience building or improving program management processes, SOPs, governance models, reporting structures, and best practices in a fast-moving or lower-maturity program environment
  • PMP, PgMP, CSPM, PSP, or similar certifications are highly preferred, though demonstrated construction program leadership, customer-facing delivery experience, and strong project management discipline are most important
