WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
- This person will support approximately 250 to 300 employees within a fast-paced freight brokerage environment
- The role will partner closely with operations leaders to coach managers, support employee engagement, and help drive retention
- This individual will be heavily involved in employee relations, performance management, compliance, staffing strategy, and organizational change
- The business has recently integrated acquired teams, creating a need for HR leadership around manager coaching, hiring practices, and workforce alignment
- This is a hands-on HRBP role, requiring someone comfortable being close to the employee population and directly involved in day-to-day business needs
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced operational environment
- Experience supporting large employee populations, ideally 250+ employees across multiple levels and functions
- Strong employee relations, performance management, retention, and manager coaching experience
- Ability to partner closely with recruiting and operations teams on staffing, workforce planning, and organizational changes
- Background in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, hospitality, startup, or other high-volume environments would translate well
- Hands-on, flexible, and independent HR professional who can operate without heavy oversight and adapt quickly as business needs shift
