WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
- Perform and review billing activities across a high-volume transaction environment
- Complete account and billing reconciliations and ensure ledger accuracy
- Apply knowledge of debits and credits to billing and revenue activity
- Evaluate transactions to determine what should be recognized in the appropriate accounting period
- Apply ASC 606 and US GAAP principles to revenue-related activities
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between billing activity and accounting records
- Serve as a technical resource for billing team members and provide guidance on accounting-related questions
- Support accurate revenue recognition and reporting across the billing function
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of billing, accounting, revenue, or related experience
- Strong understanding of debits and credits
- Experience performing account reconciliations and researching discrepancies
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
- Ability to determine appropriate accounting periods for revenue activity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to serve as a technical resource and support less experienced team members
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage significant transaction volume
