WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
- Responsible for sending out client invoices
- Assists with overseeing the staff accountant and helps with month-end processes ensuring accuracy
- Heavily involved in financial reporting, including building management reports and creating new reports by project, customer types, and other metrics
- Handles month-end tasks such as prepaids, accruals, and various reconciliations, including cash reconciliations
- Assist with budgeting, cash reporting, and payroll
- Help with the automation of the billing process to increase efficiency
- Supports and oversee the staff accountant, who manages AP, AR, expense entry, basic journal entries, and allocations
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with Sage Intaact preferred
- Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and projects
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup like environment
