- Perform and supervise month-end close activities.
- Prepare and review and post monthly journal entries (prepaids, accruals, etc.)
- Complete P&L, Balance Sheet, and G/L account analysis
- Conduct and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supervise, train, and develop staff accountants; interact with multiple departments including Finance and Operations
- Ensure SOX compliance.
- Lead process documentation and enhancement efforts
- Handle team and corporate accounting processes
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 years relevant accounting experience
- Corporate accounting and payroll journal entries experience.
- Exposure to lease and debt experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills with the ability to create pivot tables and use VLOOKUP.
- Public accounting and/or CPA experience
- Experience with related systems such as Oracle, HFM, Blackline, Coupa and Close Manager
- Experience in the logistics and transportation industry
