THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

• You will be joining AccruePartners’ Project Solutions practice and supporting a leading renewable energy organization undergoing a complex accounting stabilization and systems transformation initiative following a recent NetSuite ERP go-live.
• The organization is actively managing ongoing audit remediation, revenue process stabilization, and implementation of a new OATI / PowerOptix trading and settlement platform impacting revenue recognition and cash settlement operations.
• The accounting organization is operating within a highly dynamic environment that includes compressed close timelines, evolving operational processes, concurrent audit activities, and enterprise-wide system enhancement initiatives extending through early 2027.
• Leadership is seeking hands-on revenue accounting consultants capable of contributing immediately within a fast-paced execution-oriented environment where operational discipline, accounting accuracy, and system adaptability are critical.

LOCATION

• Charlotte, NC preferred with strong preference for consultants able to work onsite and closely alongside accounting leadership and operational teams.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

• The client is operating within a fixed 4-calendar-day revenue close while simultaneously managing ongoing audit remediation efforts and implementation of a new OATI / PowerOptix trading platform impacting revenue and settlement operations. The accounting organization requires immediate hands-on support to help stabilize revenue accounting operations while maintaining close discipline throughout a highly compressed implementation timeline.
• This is not an advisory engagement. The consultant must be capable of rolling up their sleeves and contributing immediately across revenue close execution, revenue recognition support, audit remediation activities, settlement support, and operational accounting activities tied to PPA contracts and trading operations.
• The ideal consultant will have experience operating successfully within transformation-oriented environments where accounting processes and operational workflows are still evolving and being formalized.
• Strong execution capability, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively within compressed timelines and fast-moving environments will be critical for success.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

• Strong hands-on Revenue Accounting experience within complex operational environments
• Direct experience supporting revenue recognition for PPA contracts
• Proven experience supporting revenue close execution within compressed close timelines, ideally supporting a 4-day close
• Experience operating within OATI, PowerOptix, or similar ETRM platforms
• Exposure to system implementations, ERP enhancements, or accounting transformation initiatives (NetSuite preferred)
• Experience supporting audit remediation and operational accounting stabilization efforts
• Ability to contribute immediately with minimal onboarding and operate effectively within execution-focused environments
• Experience supporting evolving accounting processes requiring improved structure, documentation, and consistency
• Strong understanding of revenue accounting operations tied to energy trading, settlements, or renewable energy environments
• Renewable energy, utilities, or broader energy industry experience strongly preferred
