LOCATION:
- On-site in Jurupa Valley, CA OR MT Sterling, KY
- Travel 30-40% of the time across the US
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Maintain and prioritize a backlog of product items requiring reverse engineering or sourcing to meet customer demand.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to oversee the development and reverse engineering of aftermarket parts and assemblies.
- Partner with the sourcing team and external suppliers to identify and secure prototypes and sourced components.
- Work with the sales team and customers to gather product requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Drive projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timely execution and delivery of product development goals.
- Utilize tools like Smartsheet to track product status, part numbers, OEM information, and project progress.
- Travel approximately 30-40% of the time to various company sites across the US to facilitate collaboration and project oversight.
- Lead and potentially expand the product development function, spearheading efforts to improve processes and product offerings.
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED
- 5–7 years of experience in product management or a related technical field, with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Technical proficiency, including the ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings and a preference for candidates with an engineering background.
- Proven success translating customer and sales input into actionable technical requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in engineering, sourcing, and sales environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently (1 to 1.5 weeks/month) to company sites and sales locations.
