THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

  • You will be joining AccruePartners’ Project Solutions practice, partnering with a large, Charlotte-headquartered specialty insurance organization undergoing a major enterprise finance and HR technology transformation.
  • Our Project Solutions practice supports clients across four core pillars: Enterprise Program & PMO Leadership; Business & Technology Enablement; Process Optimization; and Operational Readiness & Change Adoption.
  • In this engagement, you’ll work alongside Finance, Technology, and key business stakeholders to drive delivery of a Workday implementation (replacing a legacy Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains / MS GP environment). The client is actively evaluating and mobilizing toward their future-state platform, and they need a strong, business-forward Project Manager to create structure, alignment, and momentum across the full program lifecycle.

LOCATION

  • Charlotte, NC (local / on-site presence expected)

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

  • Opportunity to join AccruePartners’ Project Solutions consulting practice supporting a high-visibility enterprise transformation in the specialty insurance industry
  • Direct exposure to senior stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and business leadership within a complex, multi-site organization
  • Opportunity to establish and run the program structure, governance, cadence, and accountability needed for a successful Workday delivery
  • High-impact engagement supporting platform implementation, process redesign, data readiness, testing, and cutover planning
  • Opportunity to operate at the intersection of finance transformation, technology delivery, risk management, and change adoption
  • Collaborative environment where practical project leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to create clarity in an evolving environment will be critical
  • Full suite of benefits for the duration of the engagement, including: medical, vision, dental, PTO, and paid holidays

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • This organization is moving from a legacy ERP environment (Microsoft Dynamics GP) toward a modern enterprise platform, with Workday at the center of the future-state strategy. The program will require tight coordination across workstream leadership, decision-making, vendor/integrator execution, finance process ownership, and end-user readiness.
  • While the direction is clear, the work will continue to evolve as implementation planning accelerates. This consultant will bring the structure to:
    • align stakeholders on scope and sequencing,
    • make dependencies and ownership visible,
    • run an effective operating cadence, and
    • keep execution moving while risks and issues are surfaced early and resolved quickly.
  • Success in this role directly influences the organization’s ability to deliver a stable go-live while minimizing disruption to finance operations and day-to-day business execution.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional project/program initiatives spanning business process, technology delivery, and finance stakeholders
  • Prior delivery experience supporting Workday implementations and/or enterprise finance/ERP modernization (including migrations away from legacy platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics GP)
  • Strong experience building and maintaining project plans, governance routines, stakeholder communications, RAID logs, decision tracking, and executive-level status reporting
  • Ability to operate effectively in an evolving environment where priorities, sequencing, ownership, and deliverables must be clarified and reinforced as the work progresses
  • Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on execution with senior stakeholder alignment and program-level visibility
  • Working knowledge of core finance/process areas impacted by enterprise transformations (helpful, not required): record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, billing, revenue, A/R, close, and reporting
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and follow-through skills with the ability to push workstreams forward, manage competing priorities, and drive resolution
