LOCATION

  • On-site in the Fort Mill, South Carolina corporate office (5 days per week).

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • Ensures the organization’s federal, state, and local payroll tax obligations are met accurately and on time across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Plays a key role in audit preparedness, reconciliation, and tax agency communication.

  • Identifies and implements process improvements that drive compliance and accuracy.

  • Supports year-end activities, including W-2 and W-2C processing, to ensure clean reporting and filings.

  • Partners closely with internal teams and technology platforms to maintain tax compliance and operational excellence.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of payroll tax experience in a multi-state environment.

  • Proficiency in ADP and Oracle systems (required).

  • In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and filing requirements.

  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to manage agency inquiries and resolve tax discrepancies efficiently.

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus
