WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

Ensures the organization’s federal, state, and local payroll tax obligations are met accurately and on time across multiple jurisdictions.

Plays a key role in audit preparedness, reconciliation, and tax agency communication.

Identifies and implements process improvements that drive compliance and accuracy.

Supports year-end activities, including W-2 and W-2C processing, to ensure clean reporting and filings.

Partners closely with internal teams and technology platforms to maintain tax compliance and operational excellence.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

3+ years of payroll tax experience in a multi-state environment.
-
Proficiency in ADP and Oracle systems (required).
-
In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and filing requirements.

Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.

Proven ability to manage agency inquiries and resolve tax discrepancies efficiently.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus
