WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
This role will serve as a key support partner within HR operations, helping ensure payroll is processed accurately while also supporting employee questions, benefits-related inquiries, system reconciliations, and day-to-day HR operational needs.
The organization has continued to grow, and this person will help create additional capacity, structure, and consistency across payroll and HR operations.
This role will be highly visible across the employee population, serving as an initial point of contact for questions and helping build trust through responsiveness, accuracy, and strong customer service.
As the company expands internationally, this person may also gain exposure to broader payroll complexity, including Canada and future international payroll support.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
Payroll processing experience, ideally within a growing or multi-location organization.
Comfort working with both salaried and hourly payroll populations.
A self-starter mindset with the ability to investigate discrepancies, ask good questions, and proactively seek answers.
Basic to intermediate Excel skills, including comfort with VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and reconciliation work.
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees at all levels.
Curiosity and willingness to learn benefits administration, reporting, payroll systems, and broader HR operations responsibilities.
Benefits exposure is helpful, but not required.
Davis-Bacon, union payroll, or international payroll experience would be a plus, but is not required.
Experience with Canada payroll would be attractive, though not mandatory.
A candidate who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, and becoming a trusted resource within the HR function.
