Details:

  • 4–6 month contract position
  • Onsite in Mt. Airy, but open to candidates in Charlotte

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support payroll processing activities from time collection through paycheck calculation and payment distribution.
  • Review payroll data, wage calculations, deductions, taxes, and adjustments to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process off-cycle payments, pay adjustments, final checks, voids, stop payments, and reissue requests as needed.
  • Respond to employee and internal stakeholder payroll questions in a timely, professional, and confidential manner.
  • Partner with HR, managers, and payroll team members to resolve timekeeping or payroll issues and support process improvements.

 

The Background That Fits:

  • 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
  • Experience working with payroll systems such as UKG/UltiPro, ADP, Oracle HCM, or similar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review payroll data, identify issues, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support employees, managers, and internal teams.
