LOCATION
- Charlotte, NC, hybrid with 4 days onsite
- Flexible hours to accommodate early EMEA and late APAC calls
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
- Owns North America accounting, which is about 70% of the business, plus corporate consolidation of 13 international entities
- Leads the cleanup of historical financials following an ERP implementation, ahead of a Quality of Earnings process in 2027
- Drives the month-end close from 10 days down to 5
- Serves as the primary point of contact for auditors, outsourced Big 4 tax, and valuation specialists, and translates their work for the board and shareholders
- Brings an accounting perspective to a cost accounting project now underway
- Mentors the next generation of controllership on the team
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- CPA and Big 4 experience required
- 10+ years of experience (12 preferred), with prior controller experience; not someone growing into the role
- Manufacturing or production experience, with a strong background in cost and operational accounting
- Multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation experience
- PE-backed, QoE, or transaction experience is a strong plus
- Has led ERP stabilization or post-implementation cleanup
- A change agent who thrives in transformation: about 80% leader and 20% hands-on
