- This role is responsible for building and optimizing inventory planning strategy across a distributed aviation maintenance network
- Directly impacts aircraft uptime and operational continuity, ensuring critical parts are available without over-investing in inventory
- Owns the development of inventory methodologies, including min/max levels, safety stock, and allocation strategies across multiple locations
- Plays a key role in long-term planning for life-limited and time-controlled components, aligning supply with maintenance schedules and demand variability
- Serves as the central point between maintenance, stores, procurement, finance, and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) operations, requiring strong communication and decision-making
- Influences budgeting and financial performance, including capital vs. expense decisions tied to high-value aviation components
- Experience in aviation supply chain, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul), or aerospace materials planning environments
- Strong understanding of aircraft parts planning, including rotable, expendable, and consumable inventory, as well as repair loops and shelf-life considerations
- Proven ability to manage inventory strategy across multiple locations, balancing service levels, cost, and operational risk
- Hands-on experience with ERP or maintenance systems (e.g., Maintenix, TRAX, AMOS, SAP, or similar aviation platforms)
- Strong analytical skillset with the ability to interpret usage trends, lead times, and reliability data (e.g., MTBUR) to inform planning decisions
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making, including capital vs. expense considerations
- Ability to operate in a cross-functional, high-stakes environment, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Leadership experience managing or mentoring teams, with a focus on building processes, structure, and scalable planning frameworks
