WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements through journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Own recurring general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations while identifying discrepancies and driving corrections
- Support fixed assets, prepaid expenses, reserves, estimates, intercompany activity, and recurring financial reporting
- Assist leadership with quarterly reviews, year-end audits, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Help the organization continue improving its month-end close process by identifying redundant tasks and opportunities for greater efficiency
- Bring curiosity and ownership to the role by asking questions, digging into variances, and understanding the accounting behind the numbers
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- 2 to 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong foundation in journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, balance sheet accounting, and month-end close
- Public accounting experience is preferred but not required; strong corporate accounting experience is equally relevant
- Experience with a large ERP such as Oracle, SAP, or Dynamics 365 preferred
- Strong Excel capabilities
- CPA or progress toward a CPA is a plus but not required
- Most importantly, someone with initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine desire to learn and take ownership
