WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Process full-cycle payroll, including on-cycle, off-cycle, bonuses, and multi-jurisdictional payrolls, ensuring compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize Workday to manage payroll processing, deductions, retro pay calculations, and earnings reconciliation
  • Support payroll tax reporting and compliance, including multi-state filings and coordination with ADP SmartCompliance
  • Handle payroll discrepancies through research and resolution, ensuring accuracy across all employee records
  • Review terminations and calculate final pay in accordance with state-specific regulations
  • Support audit controls, documentation, and reporting to maintain payroll accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with system updates, testing, and enhancements, including upcoming international payroll implementations
  • Partner with internal teams and respond to employee payroll-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to operational efficiencies within payroll

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • 5+ years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment
  • Strong expertise in Workday Payroll, including processing, tax handling, and system functionality
  • Experience with ADP SmartCompliance and payroll tax reporting
  • Solid understanding of payroll regulations, including federal, state, and local tax requirements
  • Experience handling payroll discrepancies, audits, and compliance-related processes
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ACH processing and resolving payment issues is a plus
  • CPP certification preferred
