WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Process full-cycle payroll, including on-cycle, off-cycle, bonuses, and multi-jurisdictional payrolls, ensuring compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements
- Utilize Workday to manage payroll processing, deductions, retro pay calculations, and earnings reconciliation
- Support payroll tax reporting and compliance, including multi-state filings and coordination with ADP SmartCompliance
- Handle payroll discrepancies through research and resolution, ensuring accuracy across all employee records
- Review terminations and calculate final pay in accordance with state-specific regulations
- Support audit controls, documentation, and reporting to maintain payroll accuracy and compliance
- Assist with system updates, testing, and enhancements, including upcoming international payroll implementations
- Partner with internal teams and respond to employee payroll-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to operational efficiencies within payroll

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment
- Strong expertise in Workday Payroll, including processing, tax handling, and system functionality
- Experience with ADP SmartCompliance and payroll tax reporting
- Solid understanding of payroll regulations, including federal, state, and local tax requirements
- Experience handling payroll discrepancies, audits, and compliance-related processes
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with ACH processing and resolving payment issues is a plus
- CPP certification preferred
