  • Charlotte, NC, onsite 5 days per week

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Serve as a strategic accounting leader and hands-on consultant, providing stability, structure, and guidance during a critical transition period.
  • Assess, strengthen, and optimize core accounting processes to ensure operational continuity and readiness for future growth.
  • Partner with executive leadership and internal teams to drive financial accuracy, transparency, and accountability across the organization.
  • Lead key initiatives tied to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, collaborating with consultants and business stakeholders to enhance financial planning discipline.
  • Provide strategic oversight and execution support for ERP/SAP implementation, including testing, reporting validation, and change enablement.
  • Support month-end close, compliance, and audit readiness activities to ensure timely, reliable reporting and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Act as a bridge between current operations and future-state objectives, facilitating knowledge transfer, process documentation, and succession planning to prepare for long-term departmental stability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Controller and leadership team, linking financial integrity with business decision-making through data-driven insights and process improvements.

HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED

  • Experienced Controller with a proven record of leading accounting functions in complex, multi-entity organizations; manufacturing experience preferred.
    Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring continuity while advancing process excellence.
    Proven success implementing or supporting ERP/financial systems (SAP strongly preferred) and integrating technology into accounting operations.
    Strong technical foundation in U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition, and project accounting, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business context.
    Adept at leading through change, stabilizing teams, and fostering collaboration across accounting, finance, and operations functions.
    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred, MBA a plus.
    Exceptional communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills — able to influence across levels and drive alignment on financial priorities.
