WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Oversee quarterly close activities and ensure accounting operations continue smoothly during a leadership leave
- Supervise the accounts payable function and provide day-to-day oversight of the AP resource
- Simplify and improve AP workflows to increase efficiency during the interim period
- Execute reconciliations and support book closings across core corporate accounting activities
- Help initiate audit processes and coordinate support for external auditors
- Document existing accounting procedures and identify opportunities to strengthen controls and workflows
- Operate hands-on, on-site with the team to quickly learn current processes and provide immediate support
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8–10 years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong corporate accounting background with experience leading monthly and quarterly close
- Proven experience overseeing accounts payable processes and improving workflow efficiency
- Hands-on expertise in reconciliations and book close within an operating business
- Ability to work independently and step into an interim environment with minimal ramp time
- Comfort operating in a startup or growth-stage environment strongly preferred
- Industry experience in a technical or complex environment is helpful but not required
