Details:
  • On-site in Rock Hill
  • 3 month contract position with possibility of extending or converting
 
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the point of contact for hourly and salaried employees on policies, benefits, PTO, payroll, and general HR questions.
  • Support day-to-day HR operations using HRIS, payroll, and ATS systems; ensure accurate employee records and documentation.
  • Lead new-hire orientation and onboarding, ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for all employees.
  • Assist with recruiting and interview coordination in partnership with hiring managers and corporate HR.
  • Process employment paperwork, verify I-9 documentation, issue badges, and maintain active employee files in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Support benefits administration, including open enrollment assistance and resolving basic benefit inquiries.
  • Partner with corporate HR and the incoming HR Manager to support employee relations, site communications, and engagement activities.
 
Requirements:
  • 2–4+ years of HR experience in a generalist, specialist, or HR coordinator capacity.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and employment laws, including onboarding, I-9 verification, and basic compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, approachable demeanor, and the ability to build trust across the plant—personality and cultural fit are critical.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus, with comfort supporting both hourly and senior-level employees.
  • Ability to start ASAP and able to successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
