The Details:
Contract-to-hire position
Hybrid in Fort Mill, SC (in office Mon-Wed, remote Thurs-Fri)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage HR projects in a variety of areas including payroll, benefits, HRIS, etc., using Waterfall methodologies
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including timelines, risk mitigation strategies, and communication plans
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful delivery
- Drive change management initiatives, ensuring stakeholder adoption through training, communication, and readiness support
- Provide regular project updates, status reports, and facilitate decision-making at key milestones
The Background that Fits:
- 3–8 years of hands-on project management experience, with the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
- Strong familiarity with MS Project or similar PM tools; PMP or CAPM certification preferred
- Experience delivering HR-related projects (payroll, benefits, retirement vendor transitions, change management) or similar enterprise systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
- Confident communicator and self-starter with a structured, detail-oriented mindset and a passion for project delivery
