THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

  • Consultant with AccruePartners! Our client is a large, multi-country enterprise with a centralized HR Operations function and a recently implemented ServiceNow HR knowledge base.
  • Policies today are inconsistent, outdated, and formatted differently across regions; leadership is prioritizing a standardized, compliant, and easy-to-use policy library—starting with U.S. policies and expanding globally in phased waves.
  • You’ll partner closely with HR leadership and designated subject-matter owners (Total Rewards, HR Ops, Talent, etc.) to modernize content, reduce ambiguity, and enable self-service through ServiceNow.
WHAT WE OFFER YOU
  • High-impact consulting role modernizing HR policy governance at enterprise scale
  • AccruePartners delivery support for fast onboarding, cadence, and stakeholder alignment
  • Executive visibility and cross-functional partnership (Total Rewards, HR Ops, Talent, Legal)
  • Phased roadmap with clear deliverables—initial U.S. focus with potential global expansion
  • Opportunity for extension as the policy program scales and matures
WHERE IT IS LOCATED
  • Charlotte, NC (remote/hybrid considered with limited, planned on-site collaboration).
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Inventory & Gap Assessment: Consolidate the U.S. policy inventory; evaluate currency, ownership, legal risk, redundancy, and usability; define keep/revise/retire decisions.
  • Authoring & Standardization: Draft/refresh policies in plain language; harmonize formats; align to brand, accessibility, and style guidelines; embed version control and effective-date conventions.
  • Compliance & Risk Alignment: Validate policies against federal and state employment requirements (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, state leave/wage topics); flag where local practices differ from legal must-haves.
  • Governance & Workflow: Stand up a lightweight policy governance model (RACI, review/approval workflow, refresh cadence, ownership metadata, audit trail) that scales beyond the initial wave.
  • ServiceNow Enablement: Structure articles for search and self-service (taxonomy, tagging, keywords, related articles, attachments); publish to the knowledge base with clear employee and manager views.
  • Change & Adoption: Create release notes, employee/manager comms, and quick-reference guides; partner with HRBPs to drive adoption; define KPIs (deflection rates, article usefulness, update SLAs).
  • Roadmap & Phasing: Sequence work into sprints (“bite-sized chunks”); prioritize high-impact policies (e.g., leave, time, pay, benefits, conduct, hybrid/remote); outline future global localization.
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED
  • 7–10+ years in HR policy authoring/governance within complex, multi-state U.S. environments (global exposure a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience standardizing policies and standing up governance (RACI, review cycles, versioning, audit readiness).
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment law frameworks (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, state leave/wage & hour) and how to translate them into clear, employee-facing content.
  • Hands-on with ServiceNow HRSD/Knowledge (or comparable HRKB): article design, taxonomy, tagging, publishing, analytics.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills (plain-language, accessible, consistent voice) with executive-level stakeholder management.
  • Comfortable running efficient working sessions with SMEs; biased to action and documentation over prolonged meetings.
