  • A high-visibility engagement supporting a large, private equity–backed organization executing a multi-year cost optimization initiative across the business
  • A collaborative FP&A team led by senior finance leadership, responsible for validating, tracking, and reporting enterprise-wide cost savings initiatives
  • A cross-functional environment partnering with operations, business unit leaders, and external partners to ensure savings are realized, measured, and communicated effectively

WHAT WE OFFER YOU
  • Immediate opportunity to step into a high-impact initiative with executive visibility across Finance and leadership
  • Longer-term engagement through the end of 2026 supporting a structured, multi-wave cost optimization program
  • Opportunity to operate as a key contributor within FP&A, influencing how savings are tracked, validated, and reported
  • Exposure to enterprise reporting tools including Adaptive Insights and Power BI, with opportunity to enhance reporting and automation capabilities

LOCATION
  • Charlotte, NC – hybrid work environment (in-office 3 days per week required)

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
  • The organization is in the middle of a multi-year cost optimization program with clearly defined savings targets, implementation waves, and executive-level visibility.
  • To date, a consulting partner has been leading the program — but that support is rolling off, creating an immediate gap in ownership and continuity.
  • The FP&A team is responsible for validating savings, tracking performance against targets, and delivering executive-level reporting. However, bandwidth constraints limit their ability to fully support the initiative while managing ongoing responsibilities.
  • Without the right resource in place, there is risk to:
    • Accurate tracking and validation of cost savings
    • Consistent executive reporting and visibility
    • Sustaining momentum across defined implementation waves
  • This consultant will step in to provide continuity, ownership, and structure — ensuring the program delivers measurable results and remains on track.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
  • Experience in FP&A, ideally at the Senior Financial Analyst or early-stage Manager level
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to manage, manipulate, and analyze large, recurring data sets
  • Experience supporting cost optimization, cost tracking, or financial performance initiatives preferred
  • Ability to operate as a self-starter, working independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize data, insights, and progress for leadership audiences
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Adaptive Insights, Power BI, or similar platforms preferred
  • Comfort operating in a project-oriented environment, balancing analytical work with program coordination and stakeholder alignment
