THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING:
- National fleet maintenance and management services organization supporting commercial and municipal fleets across the U.S.
- Charlotte-based corporate office relocating to a new space in the Ballantyne area
- Move is being led by People Operations, with an internal relocation committee providing input and decision support
- Coordination today is spread across several internal stakeholders and outside parties, including a sublessor, workspace designer, and electrical contractor
- Leadership wants a single owner who can bring structure to the project and move it to completion on schedule
WHAT WE OFFER YOU:
- As a consultant through AccruePartners, you will join a team recognized for delivering high-impact project solutions with precision and speed
- Access to exclusive consulting engagements with established client relationships
- Competitive compensation, paid time off, paid holidays, and comprehensive benefits throughout the duration of the project
- The backing of one of the Carolinas' premier talent solutions firms, with over 24 years of industry leadership
WHERE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED:
- Charlotte, NC (Ballantyne area)
- Regular onsite presence required at the new space to oversee vendors, walkthroughs, and installation
- Engagement runs through move-in, with a firm year-end deadline
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
- The organization is moving its corporate office into a recently vacated space and wants to get employees in with as little construction as possible.
- The space is largely move-in ready, but the new workstation layout differs from the previous tenant's, which may require electrical changes and raises open questions around permitting and code compliance.
- The designer, sublessor, and electrical contractor currently hold different views on what is required, and no general contractor has been engaged.
- This role is about ownership and follow-through. The right consultant will take a project that is partly scoped and loosely coordinated, get clear answers on the open questions, line up the right vendors, and drive a realistic plan to move-in day.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Own end-to-end coordination of the office relocation, serving as the central point of contact across internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Build and manage the move plan, timeline, and critical path to meet the move-in deadline
- Partner with the VP of People Operations and the internal relocation committee on decisions, priorities, and status
- Resolve open questions on permitting and code requirements, including occupancy, fire and life safety, electrical, and egress
- Determine whether a general contractor is needed, and if so, support selection and manage their scope
- Coordinate with the designer and electrical contractor on workstation layout, power relocation, and installation
- Schedule and manage permit appointments and inspections as required
- Oversee furniture and workstation installation, IT and AV readiness, and move logistics
- Plan employee communications and move-day execution in partnership with People Operations
- Track budget, risks, and issues, and provide clear updates on progress and blockers
BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- 5+ years of facilities, workplace, or real estate project management experience, with direct ownership of corporate office moves or relocations
- Working knowledge of commercial permitting and building code requirements, and comfort engaging with inspectors, landlords, and contractors
- Experience coordinating designers, electricians, general contractors, furniture installers, and movers on light-construction or move-in-ready projects
- Track record of delivering against fixed move dates with competing vendor timelines
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to bring order to a project that is already in motion
- Comfortable working directly with senior leadership and a cross-functional committee
- PMP, FMP, or CFM certification a plus, but hands-on relocation experience matters most
