Why This Role Is Important
  • Serves as the primary operational partner to the Head of School, ensuring priorities, communications, and scheduling are executed seamlessly. 
  • Acts as a central point of coordination between senior leadership, the Board of Trustees and faculty, helping maintain strong communication and alignment. 
  • Ensures that the Head’s office runs efficiently by managing calendars, travel, correspondence, and meeting preparation. 
  • Provides key governance support by preparing board materials, managing meeting logistics, and coordinating board communications. 
  • Helps coordinate major institutional events, leadership meetings, and strategic initiatives across the organization. 
  • Plays a critical role in maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and operational continuity at the executive level. 
 
The Background That Fits
  • 5+ years of executive administrative support experience, ideally supporting a CEO, President, Head of School, or senior executive leader. 
  • Proven ability to manage complex calendars, meetings, and travel coordination in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience supporting board or executive leadership meetings, including preparing agendas, and coordinating materials.
  • Strong written communication skills with experience drafting and proofreading executive correspondence and presentations. 
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism while interacting with senior stakeholders. 
  • Highly organized professional who can prioritize competing requests, manage special projects, and anticipate executive needs. 
  • Experience in education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations is helpful but not required.
