THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

  • A large-scale organization operating a complex, high-volume distribution network that supports a significant footprint across multiple regions.
  • A business in a strong growth phase, continuing to invest in its operational footprint, infrastructure, and long-term supply chain capabilities.
  • A distribution organization evolving toward greater visibility, accountability, and consistency across its network, creating new opportunities for strong operators to make an impact.
  • A growing team building more dedicated leadership directly into key distribution operations, bringing the business closer to what is happening on the ground every day.
  • An environment where distribution and transportation have a direct impact on the broader business, making operational performance, service, and execution highly visible.
  • A culture that values people who can get close to the operation, build strong partnerships, use data to solve problems, and continuously raise the bar on performance.

WHAT THEY OFFER YOU

  • Step into a newly created role with the opportunity to make an immediate impact and help shape how the position evolves.
  • Gain direct exposure to senior distribution leadership while having the autonomy to own your local operation and serve as a trusted extension of the broader team.
  • Take on a role with real visibility and ownership, where you are empowered to identify problems, challenge the status quo, and drive solutions.
  • Build experience across distribution, transportation, operational performance, service, and cost management rather than being limited to one piece of the supply chain.
  • Influence a large-scale operation and drive meaningful change without the traditional direct people-management responsibilities.
  • Join a growing distribution organization that is continuing to invest in its team and capabilities, creating visibility and potential for future growth.
  • Competitive compensation of $80K to $90K plus a 10% bonus.

WHERE THIS SITS

  • One of three newly created positions being added across key distribution markets, with each Manager owning the day-to-day operational presence for an assigned location.
  • Report directly to the Director of Distribution Operations and serve as his local extension when he is not onsite.
  • Operate as the primary connection between the organization, its third-party distribution partner, transportation operations, and the locations supported by your DC.
  • This is an individual contributor leadership role with no direct reports, but significant influence across the operation.
  • Work onsite and alongside distribution and transportation leadership, giving you direct visibility into what is happening on the ground rather than managing the operation from a distance.
  • Partner across multiple levels of the organization while having the independence to solve issues locally and escalate the right priorities to senior leadership.

A BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • 3 to 7+ years of experience across distribution, transportation, logistics, supply chain, or 3PL operations.
  • Experience across both distribution and transportation is ideal, but a strong background in either area can translate well.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-volume environment and understanding how warehouse and transportation decisions impact service.
  • Experience working with third-party providers or outsourced operations and the ability to influence performance without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to pull information from systems, understand operational KPIs, identify root causes, and turn data into a clear story.
  • An operator who wants to be close to the business, ask questions, solve problems, and identify issues before they become bigger ones.
  • Someone who can balance being collaborative and relationship-driven with being confident enough to challenge performance and drive accountability.
  • Retail, grocery, foodservice, or consumer products distribution experience is a plus, but not required.
