- Oversee and manage all general accounting operations including AR/AP, GL, fixed assets, tax, and compliance.
- Own the preparation of financial statements, board reports, and internal management reports.
- Provide strategic support to the CFO in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting department, fostering team development and process improvement.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate the preparation and review of accounting estimates, reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
- Maintain oversight of all accounting entries and ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP standards.
- Direct the audit process including preparation of audit schedules, managing requests, and ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or master's preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or director-level accounting role.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, product sales, or a trading company environment is highly desirable.
