Why This Role Is Important
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10 billing and collections professionals, providing direction, accountability, and thought leadership.
  • Own the end-to-end B2B billing function, ensuring timely, accurate invoicing across multiple branches and customer types.
  • Partner with 20+ branch locations to standardize billing inputs, improve data quality, and streamline processes across the organization.
  • Serve as a key liaison between corporate finance and field operations, helping branches improve documentation, timing, and compliance.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance billing accuracy, reduce cycle times, and support cash flow.
  • Oversee collections activities as needed, including escalation support, aging review, and collaboration on dispute resolution.
  • Confidently communicate with Regional VPs and senior leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and performance updates.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to billing accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of collections.

The Background That Fits
  • Proven experience in B2B billing management, preferably within a multi-location or decentralized organization.
  • Prior people leadership experience managing 8–10+ direct or indirect reports.
  • Strong understanding of billing processes; collections exposure is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence senior leaders, including Regional or Operational VPs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a track record of improving workflows, controls, and data quality.
  • Comfortable operating in complex, fast-moving environments and driving change.
