- Drives the development and execution of compensation and benefits strategies that attract, retain, and engage a diverse, high-performing workforce across all levels of the organization.
- Ensures legal and regulatory compliance with IRS, DOL, and ERISA standards, safeguarding the organization from risk while maintaining employee trust and data integrity.
- Serves as a key leader and coach, managing a team of seven and fostering cross-functional collaboration with payroll, HRIS, and operations to enhance the overall employee experience.
- Leverages data analysis and reporting tools to deliver insights that guide decision-making around cost modeling, plan design, and total rewards optimization.
- Supports a culture of operational excellence by leading benefits and compensation programs that are scalable, equitable, and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, compensation, benefits, or HR operations, ideally within a multi-location or complex organizational structure.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with experience supervising direct reports and managing cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical skill set with proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs), HRIS platforms (such as Workday), and reporting tools to support data-driven decision making.
- Proven understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks including IRS, DOL, ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.
- Experience interpreting and managing benefits plan documents, contracts, and vendor relationships, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Confident communicator with the ability to present information clearly to senior leaders, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field required; advanced education or professional certifications (CEBS, PHR/SPHR) a plus.
