WHAT THEY OFFER YOU

- The opportunity to build and develop a dedicated Finance Transformation function, including organizational design, talent acquisition, and capability development
- Leadership responsibility for two Senior Accountants with the ability to develop their capabilities while building out the broader team
- Exposure to a complex global organization where finance processes, systems, reporting requirements, and data flows span multiple markets and jurisdictions
- A platform for continued career growth within a highly visible role where successful projects will have a measurable impact across the organization
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
- The organization has reached a point where its finance infrastructure needs to evolve, creating a need for a leader who can connect accounting expertise, technology, process, and project execution
- NetSuite was implemented on an accelerated timeline, followed by OneStream, and there is a significant opportunity to improve how these platforms are integrated, utilized, and optimized across the finance organization
- A major focus will be partnering with IT to connect systems that do not currently communicate effectively and strengthen how financial data moves from source systems into the ERP and reporting environment
- Ownership of the finance technology roadmap will include evaluating new solutions, improving existing platforms, streamlining workflows, and determining where automation can eliminate manual effort
- AI adoption will be another important initiative, including identifying practical use cases, selecting appropriate solutions, establishing guardrails, and helping the accounting team incorporate the technology responsibly into its workflows
- Recent private equity ownership creates additional transformation priorities, special projects, and reporting requirements that will require strong project leadership and the ability to move initiatives from concept through completion
- Acquisition activity will create opportunities to integrate new entities, align accounting processes and systems, and ensure acquired businesses are incorporated accurately into the organization’s financial reporting
- Strengthening controls and data integrity will be central to the transformation, including improving upstream processes and ensuring financial information entering the accounting environment is timely, accurate, and complete
- Rather than maintaining the current environment, this person will be expected to identify what is not working, develop the future-state solution, and lead the organization through implementation
- This is an opportunity to materially change how a global accounting organization operates while building the processes, systems, controls, and team that will support its next stage of growth
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with a strong technical accounting foundation and practical knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience leading complex finance or accounting transformation initiatives from initial planning through implementation and measurable results
- A background that combines accounting expertise with systems, technology, process improvement, and cross-functional project leadership
- Demonstrated experience implementing, integrating, or optimizing ERP and finance technology platforms; NetSuite experience would be particularly valuable
- Experience identifying manual or inefficient finance processes and redesigning them through automation, technology, stronger workflows, and standardized processes
- Strong project management capabilities with experience owning scope, timelines, resources, deliverables, and multiple concurrent initiatives
- Experience partnering with IT and other business functions to improve system integrations, data flows, reporting processes, and financial controls
- Proven people leadership experience with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop accounting professionals while building a high-performing team
- Experience managing external consultants, software vendors, and service providers while holding partners accountable for scope, timing, and project outcomes
- Multi-entity, multinational, or global accounting experience is highly valuable given the complexity of supporting different markets, statutory requirements, systems, and reporting needs
- Experience supporting acquisitions, finance integrations, or post-acquisition transformation initiatives would translate particularly well
- Exposure to AI, intelligent automation, or emerging finance technologies is valuable, particularly for someone who can identify practical applications rather than implementing technology for technology’s sake
- An active CPA is preferred given the technical accounting and special-project responsibilities, although strong transformation-focused accounting leaders without one may still warrant consideration
- Strong executive communication skills and the ability to translate complex accounting, systems, and transformation issues into clear recommendations for senior leadership
