WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of community events, festivals, and special events, ensuring high-quality programming and compliance with town policies.
  • Oversee the event center and other town event venues, ensuring smooth operations, vendor coordination, and revenue generation.
  • Supervise the customer experience division, implement service training, and ensure a streamlined approach for resident inquiries.
  • Oversee the event permitting process, including film permits and the Special Events Committee, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient approvals.
  • Assist in shaping strategic vision, oversee sales coordination and proactive sales strategies, and provide leadership in staff training, recruitment, and professional development.
BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Event Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field, with 5-7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale events, festivals, and venue operations.
  • Strong ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and oversee staff development, scheduling, and training.
  • Experience in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and event management tools such as Social Tables or EMS.
  • Proficiency in event logistics, permitting processes, budgeting, contract management, and compliance with safety and legal regulations
