WHERE THIS ROLE SITS
- Onsite, 5x a week in Charlotte, NC
-
Track the financial lifecycle of complex customer projects from initial order through final delivery
-
Analyze projected versus actual costs and investigate the drivers behind margin variances
-
Support customer billing, revenue expenses, cost tracking, and financial forecasting
-
Reconcile inventory and help drive inventory accuracy across the business and assist with inventory counts
-
Track project-related costs and ensure financial activity is recorded accurately
-
Support month-end close through reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis
-
Serve as an important connection point between Project Management, Operations, and Accounting
A BACKGROUND THAT FITS
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
-
1+ years of accounting experience, with entry-level candidates with strong relevant experience also considered
-
Manufacturing experience is ideal, with supply chain or distribution backgrounds also worth considering
-
Exposure to cost accounting, inventory, project accounting, billing, reconciliations, or month-end close
-
Strong Excel skills with an analytical and detail-oriented mindset
-
ERP experience is a plus, but not required - moving from MS Great Plains to SAP
-
Strong communicator who enjoys working cross-functionally, solving discrepancies, and understanding the story behind the numbers
