LOCATION:
- Winston Salem, NC
- Play a key role in overseeing the general ledger and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.
- This individual will lead portions of the monthly close process, ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, and help integrate acquisitions into the company’s accounting infrastructure.
- Report to the Corporate Controller and work cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and M&A integration teams.
- Manage the monthly and quarterly close processes for corporate and select business units.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Ensure financial statements are complete, accurate, and in accordance with US GAAP.
- Assist with acquisition integration including purchase accounting and accounting policy alignment.
BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA strongly preferred.
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or manager role.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location business environment.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
