WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage and record internal and external financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities.
- Prepare monthly financial reports in both GAAP and IFRS formats.
- Review and approve bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and ledger account analysis.
- Approve adjusting entries made by junior accounting staff.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, JSOX procedures, and all city, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for internal and external audits.
- Serve as a backup to the Finance Manager, including supervising administrative and accounting staff when needed.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.
- Support daily accounting operations while maintaining awareness of overall company activities.
A BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting regulations; familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, and corporate finance.
- Manufacturing accounting experience or CMA certification strongly preferred.
- Skilled in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and analyze financial reports.
- Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and lead junior accounting staff.
