LOCATION
  • Charlotte, NC (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of broad-based compensation programs that support business goals and market competitiveness.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders on compensation decisions, job leveling, promotions, workforce planning, and pay-for-performance alignment.
  • Own key compensation processes, including annual planning cycles, merit reviews, adjustments, market benchmarking, and internal equity analysis.
  • Oversee job architecture, career frameworks, leveling, grade assignments, and related structure-building initiatives.
  • Support compensation compliance, pay transparency, audits, policy consistency, and data integrity across compensation systems and processes.
  • Lead compensation-related projects, including system enhancements, process improvements, vendor partnerships, and executive-ready reporting.
 
BACKGROUND THAT FITS
  • Progressive broad-based compensation experience within a growing, complex, or evolving organization.
  • Strong understanding of compensation strategy, job architecture, career ladders, leveling frameworks, market pricing, and pay equity.
  • Proven ability to advise senior leaders and partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, business stakeholders, HRIS, and IT.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate complex compensation data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of compensation compliance, wage and hour regulations, pay transparency requirements, and related employment laws.
  • Experience with HRIS, compensation benchmarking tools, advanced Excel, and system or process improvement initiatives.
