Community Engagement Manager - Infrastructure job in Corporate Support in St Petersburg

THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

Join a large, established energy organization supporting critical infrastructure and transmission projects throughout Florida.
Partner with transmission, project management, legal, communications, real estate, and other internal teams to support successful project execution.
Serve as a key connection between internal project teams and the communities impacted by infrastructure projects.

Hybrid position supporting either the Lake Mary/Central Florida or St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay territory.
Combination of office and field presence approximately 3 days per week.
Field commitment varies based on project needs and may include travel to project sites, community meetings, public information sessions, and door-to-door stakeholder outreach.
Must be comfortable working outdoors in Florida conditions and adapting to changing project demands.

Develop and manage stakeholder engagement plans supporting large-scale transmission and infrastructure projects.
Create project communications including FAQs, engagement materials, website content, project updates, interactive media, and social media communications.
Partner with internal teams including transmission, project management, legal, communications, and real estate to coordinate outreach strategies.
Engage directly with community members, HOAs, elected officials, municipalities, property owners, and other external stakeholders.
Participate in field reviews, public information meetings, community meetings, and direct outreach to impacted stakeholders.
Identify stakeholder concerns early and develop proactive strategies to address potential opposition or community concerns.
De-escalate difficult stakeholder situations and work toward solutions that balance community concerns with overall project objectives.
Support projects ranging from lower-risk infrastructure improvements to projects involving environmental concerns, community opposition, or greater public impact.

Experience supporting infrastructure, utilities, transportation, telecommunications, real estate acquisition, or another related project environment.
Strong public, community, customer, or stakeholder engagement experience with direct external interaction.
Experience coordinating projects and working across multiple internal departments and stakeholder groups.
Utility experience is highly valuable; transmission experience is a strong plus.
Real estate acquisition, landowner relations, municipal/community relations, or public involvement experience is highly relevant.
Strong written communication skills with experience developing public-facing communications and engagement materials.
Demonstrated ability to work with challenging or dissatisfied stakeholders, de-escalate conflict, and maintain productive relationships.
Flexible, organized, relationship-oriented professional who is equally comfortable coordinating behind the scenes and engaging directly with communities in the field.
