THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

  • Executive leadership team with a strong track record of market expansion and value creation
  • Established industry leader with over 50 years of operational excellence and customer trust
  • 600+ employees across 28+ branch locations, with corporate headquarters relocating to Charlotte, NC
  • Organization at an inflection point—positioned for accelerated growth through both organic expansion and strategic M&A

WHAT THEY OFFER YOU
  • Enterprise-wide influence: lead the development and execution of a scalable people strategy aligned to aggressive growth targets
  • Seat at the table: report directly to the CEO and operate as a trusted advisor to the leadership team
  • Build and evolve the HR function into a strategic business enabler, with ownership across talent, culture, and organizational design
  • High-impact role in a private-equity influenced environment with a playbook that includes 2–3 acquisitions annually
  • Autonomy to architect people systems, processes, and culture from the ground up that is tailored to a scaling, distributed workforce

LOCATION
  • Charlotte, NC
  • On-site presence required with up to 30% travel to field locations
  • National branch structure; HR leader will be visible and active across the enterprise

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
  • Company is in high-growth mode with a bold expansion strategy driven by both acquisition and organic development
  • As a first-generation CHRO, you will lead the charge in elevating HR from operational to strategic with the ability to operate at all levels
  • Culture and employee experience are key levers—this role will connect fragmented field operations into a unified, engaged organization
  • Create the systems and leadership infrastructure that enable performance, accountability, and retention
  • Shape the organization’s approach to talent strategy, including leadership development, workforce planning, and integration
  • Opportunity to define and embed best-in-class practices while respecting the speed and imperfection that come with rapid growth
  • A chance to lead a transformational culture journey—bringing teams together under a shared vision while honoring local operations
  • High-trust, high-impact environment where decisions are made quickly and your voice matters

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; Master’s and SPHR/SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Proven track record in HR leadership roles across scaling, multi-site organizations, ideally with dispersed workforces
  • Demonstrated success in M&A activity—from diligence to integration and change management
  • Business-oriented mindset with ability to influence non-HR executives and connect people strategy
  • Adept at operating in ambiguity, creating structure where there is none, and inspiring teams through change
  • PE experience is a plus—but a builder’s mentality, intellectual agility, and emotional intelligence are essential
  • Strong cultural EQ: knows how to balance enterprise standards with local nuance and lead with both strength and empathy
