LOCATION

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • Leads all aspects of Human Resources including recruiting, employee relations, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and compliance.

  • Acts as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, influencing people strategy and long-term planning.

  • Plays a key role in aligning workforce programs with organizational mission, community expectations, and evolving regulations.

  • Ensures legal compliance and manages employee policy development, performance processes, and workforce data systems.

  • Oversees and implements new initiatives that support wellness, engagement, and workforce retention.


THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Government experience required – Candidates must have prior experience working with or within government agencies to ensure familiarity with public sector processes, compliance requirements, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Public Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or PHR certification preferred.
  • 7–10 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, ideally within a regulated or public-serving organization.

  • Deep knowledge of employment law, compensation structures, training frameworks, and HR systems.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and advise senior leaders on complex HR challenges.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence culture and change across diverse stakeholder groups.
