THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- 10+ years of sales experience within the chemical, textile, textile chemistry, specialty chemical, or closely related industrial B2B space.
- 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience leading sales teams or commercial resources.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. and Canada textile manufacturing market.
- Proven experience managing key accounts and developing new business opportunities.
- Background in chemistry, textile chemistry, textile manufacturing, specialty chemicals, or a related technical field.
- BA / BS required; chemistry, textile chemistry, or related field preferred.
- MBA or equivalent business experience is preferred.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand profitability, pricing, forecasting, reporting, receivables, and business analysis.
- Experience using CRM tools to manage customer activity, new business opportunities, project targets, and sales pipeline.
- Ability to partner with business management, product management, business development, lab support, and technical teams to support customer growth.
- Experience managing or optimizing sales and distribution channels, including dealers, agents, or related commercial partners.
- Strong communication, writing, planning, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Results-oriented self-starter who can work independently while also leading, coaching, and holding a sales team accountable.
- Must be comfortable traveling to meet key customers and support sales team activity in the field.
