  • Business supports textile manufacturers, brands, retailers, and supply chain partners across the U.S. and Canada.

LOCATION

  • Charlotte, NC preferred.
  • Travel required to support key accounts and lead customer-facing sales activity across the U.S. and Canada.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • This person will be responsible for delivering annual sales goals across the U.S. and Canada textile business segment.
  • The role will lead key account strategy, create new business opportunities, and help translate market needs into customer-specific growth targets.
  • This leader will be expected to strengthen customer relationships, improve pipeline visibility, and drive commercial accountability across the sales team.
  • The business needs someone who understands the textile manufacturing market and can operate confidently in both technical and commercial customer conversations.
  • This person will play a critical role in evaluating the current sales team, supporting succession planning, and helping recruit future key account management talent.
  • Success in this role requires a balance of hands-on account ownership, field sales leadership, pricing discipline, channel management, and cross-functional partnership.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • 10+ years of sales experience within the chemical, textile, textile chemistry, specialty chemical, or closely related industrial B2B space.
  • 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience leading sales teams or commercial resources.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. and Canada textile manufacturing market.
  • Proven experience managing key accounts and developing new business opportunities.
  • Background in chemistry, textile chemistry, textile manufacturing, specialty chemicals, or a related technical field.
  • BA / BS required; chemistry, textile chemistry, or related field preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent business experience is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand profitability, pricing, forecasting, reporting, receivables, and business analysis.
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage customer activity, new business opportunities, project targets, and sales pipeline.
  • Ability to partner with business management, product management, business development, lab support, and technical teams to support customer growth.
  • Experience managing or optimizing sales and distribution channels, including dealers, agents, or related commercial partners.
  • Strong communication, writing, planning, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Results-oriented self-starter who can work independently while also leading, coaching, and holding a sales team accountable.
  • Must be comfortable traveling to meet key customers and support sales team activity in the field.
