THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

  • Join a rapidly growing service organization supporting high-volume projects across multifamily and commercial properties.

  • Step into a hands-on Assistant Project Manager role focused on building, onboarding, and managing the contractor workforce responsible for completing daily projects.

  • Report directly to a Project Manager and serve as the primary point of contact for contractors throughout the day.

  • Work alongside Project Managers and Superintendents to keep projects staffed, resolve field issues, and ensure work is completed to client expectations.

  • Join an organization actively expanding across North Carolina and into new markets, with significant additional hiring expected as the business continues to scale.

LOCATION

  • Raleigh, NC.

  • Office-based position with regular local field visits to active job sites.

WHAT THEY OFFER YOU

  • Join a rapidly scaling organization with significant growth occurring across existing and new markets.

  • Clear opportunity for advancement, with successful Assistant Project Managers having the ability to progress into Project Manager roles based on performance.

  • Corporate vehicle provided.

  • Hands-on exposure to contractor management, field operations, project execution, quality control, and workforce coordination.

  • Performance-driven environment where employees who take on more responsibility and deliver results have opportunities to continue growing with the business.

  • Opportunity to build your career alongside an organization expecting continued expansion and additional leadership needs as new markets open.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • Build and maintain a reliable bench of 1099 contractors so Project Managers have the crews needed to execute a high volume of daily projects.

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage contractors, including documentation, rates, portal onboarding, availability, and initial job performance.

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for contractors, troubleshooting job issues and ensuring crews are where they need to be.

  • Perform field visits to inspect work, verify specifications, enforce quality standards, and communicate real-time issues back to the Project Manager.

  • Help solve contractor pay disputes, scope discrepancies, job redos, and other operational problems that could impact project completion.

  • Operate in a high-volume environment where schedules change quickly and resourcefulness is critical to keeping hundreds of daily jobs moving.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

  • Experience coordinating, recruiting, scheduling, or managing a high-volume hourly, temporary, seasonal, contractor, or field workforce.

  • Backgrounds in commercial staffing, high-volume recruiting, painting or building-material operations, equipment rental, hospitality, property services, or other blue-collar service environments can translate well.

  • Highly resourceful and comfortable finding people quickly when crews cancel, availability changes, or unexpected staffing needs arise.

  • Comfortable managing contractors directly, including difficult conversations around performance, quality, scheduling, pay, and expectations.

  • Spanish fluency is a significant plus, particularly for positions supporting cleaning operations.

  • Comfortable spending time both in the office and in the field checking active jobs and interacting directly with contractors.

  • Competitive, accountable, and motivated by an environment where advancement is based on performance rather than tenure.

  • Painting or cleaning expertise is not required; the organization can teach the technical side of the services, while resourcefulness and the ability to manage crews are the bigger priorities.
