THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

  • Join AccruePartners Consulting Solutions supporting a Confidential Client that has recently transitioned operations to a newly formed legal entity following a bankruptcy event. This engagement supports a critical payroll stabilization effort focused on correcting payroll, tax, and compliance issues tied to EIN transitions and ADP configuration.
  • As an AccruePartners consultant, you’ll be supported by a delivery-focused team experienced in deploying practitioners into high-risk transformation moments. This engagement provides the opportunity to stabilize critical payroll operations, reduce compliance exposure, and help establish a clean foundation for a newly formed organization.
  • Partner closely with internal Payroll, HR, Legal, Finance, and ADP resources to assess current payroll configurations, identify gaps, and support remediation efforts to ensure accurate payroll processing and regulatory compliance.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

  • During bankruptcy and legal entity transitions, payroll systems are often implemented under extreme time pressure, leading to misaligned EINs, incorrect ADP configurations, and downstream tax and compliance issues.
  • The client is currently experiencing a combination of challenges including:
    • EIN misalignment between legacy and newly formed legal entities
    • Improper ADP company and jurisdiction setup
    • Data migration and year-to-date wage balance discrepancies
    • Garnishment and deduction registration issues
    • Increased risk of tax penalties, rejected filings, and reporting inaccuracies
  • This role is critical to stabilizing payroll operations, identifying root causes, and supporting corrective actions alongside internal teams and ADP.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Serve as a subject matter expert on ADP payroll configuration in post-bankruptcy and legal entity transition environments
    • Review and assess current payroll setups, including EIN usage, company codes, tax registrations, and employee records
    • Identify root causes of payroll, tax, and compliance issues tied to entity transitions
    • Partner with internal Payroll leadership and ADP to support corrective actions and remediation efforts
    • Assist with re-registration of federal, state, and local tax jurisdictions under the correct EIN
    • Support reconciliation of payroll filings, deposits, and historical wage data
    • Ensure garnishments, levies, and statutory deductions are properly re-established
    • Document findings, risks, and recommendations to support ongoing payroll governance

    HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED

    • Deep hands-on experience with ADP payroll platforms (Workforce Now, Vantage, or similar)
    • Prior experience supporting payroll through:
      • Legal entity changes
      • New EIN implementations
      • Post-bankruptcy or carve-out transitions
    • Strong understanding of:
      • Federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements
      • Wage and hour compliance
      • Garnishments and statutory deductions
      • Proven ability to audit payroll systems, identify misconfigurations, and support remediation
      • Comfortable operating in complex, high-pressure environments with incomplete documentation #LI-JP1
        #REMOTE
