WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
- Maintain well-organized payment records and ensure accurate application of incoming funds to customer accounts; investigate and resolve any discrepancies or unallocated payments with minimal guidance.
- Manage the full scope of Accounts Receivable tasks including daily invoicing, statement preparation, and monitoring shared communication channels to provide timely, professional responses to internal and external inquiries.
- Proactively address payment issues such as declined transactions, returned payments, and account discrepancies; identify overdue accounts, follow up on outstanding balances, and document actions taken while keeping key stakeholders informed.
- Assist with onboarding new customer accounts by verifying information accuracy, suggest process improvements for efficiency, and support the team by sharing knowledge, promoting best practices, and contributing to broader departmental goals.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- Brings at least five years of hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable, supported by an Associate’s degree or higher (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
- Proficient in Excel functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, with solid familiarity across common office tools such as Outlook and Word; prior use of advanced accounting software is highly valued.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, with a consistent track record of professionalism in both internal teamwork and external client interactions.
- Detail-oriented and process-focused, with a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement; dependable, self-driven, and capable of thriving in both in-office and hybrid work environments.
