Why This Role Is Important:

  • Lead and develop an accounting team while helping establish scalable processes and operational best practices.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
  • Drive financial visibility through variance analysis, reporting insights, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Support audit activities, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives to strengthen overall accounting operations.
  • Play a key role in financial analytics, system enhancements, and special projects tied to company growth and operational efficiency.

The Background That Fits:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with prior leadership or team management responsibility.
  • Strong background in month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience working within multi-entity, manufacturing, distribution, or operationally complex business environments preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or similar cloud-based platforms.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally, communicate effectively with leadership, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred, though strong operational accounting leadership experience will also be highly valued.
