WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger processes across areas such as payroll, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting cycles.
  • Oversee monthly and annual close activities, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and ensuring timely, accurate financial results in accordance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Drive month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis, delivering timely and accurate financial results.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and external regulatory standards, supporting audits and enhancing accounting procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support audits, improve processes, and maintain compliance with internal controls and financial regulations (e.g., SOX).
  • Develop and mentor team members, support budget preparation, and manage ad hoc financial projects as needed.
 
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Brings over two years of leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and overseeing financial operations in fast-paced settings.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in ERP systems like Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite, and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities for data analysis and reconciliation.
  • Known for strong analytical thinking, effective communication across all levels, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to demanding schedules and shifting priorities.
