WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
- Manage full monthly billing cycle; busiest periods are the 2nd and 3rd weeks each month.
- Review, edit, and finalize attorney time entries with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and client-facing professionalism.
- Ensure descriptions appropriately communicate value to clients.
- Handle online billing through CenterBase and assist with updates, revisions, and corrections.
- Maintain billing schedules, follow up on outstanding items, and assist with light accounts receivable tasks.
- Assist with HR processes such as entering new hires into billing and benefit systems.
- Support office operations including ordering food/supplies and miscellaneous administrative needs.
- Provide general support to the Controller and Accounting team as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality, professional communication, and excellent customer service with internal teams.
BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Experience in legal billing or professional services billing highly preferred
- Excel experience
- Strong editing and document review skills — must be comfortable making additional changes and reviewing for accuracy.
- Someone who enjoys being in a support role, is process-oriented, and is comfortable juggling billing deadlines with administrative tasks.
