AccruePartners Becomes Certified Minority and/or Women Owned Business Enterprise
CHARLOTTE, N.C.—August 2, 2007— AccruePartners, a Charlotte, N.C.-based staffing and recruitingfirm, today announced its certification as a Minority and/or Women Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE). The firm received its certification from the Charlotte Economic Development department earlier this month.
Receiving MWBE certification now affords even more opportunities for AccruePartners to accomplish its goal of precisely matching the most talented candidates with the best opportunities.
“We are delighted about the new classification because it will increase our exposure in the business community and allow us to provide services for a wide array of clients,” said principal partner Patty Comer.
MWBE certification can be established at the local or regional level and is expected to increase the firm’s visibility, vendor relationships and facilitate procurement. Moreover, the federal government, a gigantic consumer of goods and services, allocates 5 percent of its spending for women and minority owned businesses. AccruePartners’ new classification means it will now be part of that goal.
“Certification could potentially open more doors for us,” said principal partner Amy Noland. “Our clients and prospective clients can diversify their vendor mix because we are now certified as a MWBE.” |
